All tales in this collection focus on imperfect or damaged characters whose journeys of self-discovery enable them to overcome their own indecisions and faults. The Selection: The Morning After After a painter loses a precious colour imperative to complete his painting, he goes a journey of self-discovery, realizing that the colour he seeks will perhaps never be found again. Craft of Ignorance An indecisive afternoon in the life of a young woman as she struggles to decide whether or not she is emotionally ready to meet her past love. Sandal The Snowman A fairy tale about a travelling snowman who embarks on a journey to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, unaware of the journey’s consequences. Stuffed A short poem wherein a young girl bids farewell to her innocent youth. When We Sleep Together An allegorical reflection into the influence of the fantastical on the real, in a tale embedded in insecurity and infidelity. Jarvi The Pianist: Hill of Lost Hope A pianist takes an after-dark stroll on a haunted hill in hopes to rekindle with his deceased love and find inspiration to complete the first song of his comeback album. Capané Collective is a brand new initiative which releases short fictional bite-sized books ranging from novellas to serialized novels to short story collections. Laita is the first release by Canapé Collective under its eponymous Collection series. The second instalment of the quartet, titled, Koi, is set to release in September 2019.
