Learning Python 4e is a good , solid introduction to the Python Language. Its thorough and goes quite deep into the fundamentals . However I found it quite difficult to read and understand everything in the first go ( quite natural for a book of this depth ) . It has a good number of example code (though not as much as Dive into Python 3).

This has the right material to start off with, as it covers from the basics to few advanced concepts. The right material for a beginner, it doesn't assume to have any prior programming knowledge, hence anyone can easily adapt and learn.

I have bought this book after learning the basics of python, if that is the case ..feel free to leave initial chapters of the book. Overall a pretty complete book with complete indexing to the langauge
