Leaving Home with Half a Fridge is a touching account of one womans journey from the unhappiness of a failed marriage and subsequent divorce to her evolution as a happy independent person.

    Summary

What happens when you realize you have kissed the wrong frog? Do you stop kissing and find another frog or learn how to live without one?

Leaving Home with Half a Fridge is a heart-warming tale of one womans journey - about how she handled the dissolution of her marriage and her subsequent life as a singleton. The book follows the breakdown of the marriage, her decision to get a divorce, the trauma of doing so, depression and finally overcoming it all to become a stronger, happier person.

Written with much wit, wisdom and warmth, it is a memoir which anybody who has loved and lost will relate to.

    About the Author

Arathi Menon spent her childhood in Bangalore where she learnt to love dogs, trees and beer. At the age of thirty-five, she found herself divorced and trying to rebuild a life from scratch. In the process, she rediscovered fun, began to value all the little things that make life such an astonishing gift and got back to writing. Currently, she lives in Bombay and is addicted to happiness and books.

A nice feel good book on a sensitive topic.

Its a good book I have read in a very long time. the author has put down her emotions in a witty manner not offending anybody or the institution of marriage. it talks about love, growth and hope. we have been made to believe that divorce is a taboo, but I learnt much more through the eyes of Aarthi.. way to go girl. hoping to read more books from you.

    Hard to put down

Hard to put down till you've reached the very end. This personal story is told in easy English making you an invisible spectator through the love, fun, sadness, heart break and eventual freedom. Irrespective of matrimonial status, you are bound to see yourself somewhere in the book. As you read along, you'll also gain valuable tips and advice, some so obvious that it takes the written word to get into your head! While at times one feels sad, the cheerful tone throughout the book and the reaso...

    A book with soul....

Leaving Home With Half A Fridge by Arathi Menon is a beautifully genuine book... It has the grace and gentleness and dignity of someone who smiles a warm smile in the face of personal tragedy.... If you want to curl up under a blanket on a moon lit, starry night with a warm book that will make you smile...or if you're travelling from home to work or from work to home with a wish to read a loving, intimate book..... here it is.... waiting for you....
