hello Mr. Kumar u thought that the there was a defect in the laptop, don't worry about it you can change the setting of graphics card in the nvidia setting and change the option while running on battery change it to "give best performance".

Pros:
1. Awesome Sound
2. Perfect Screen Resolution
3. Beautiful Keypad
4. Good build overall

Cons:
1. Defective Touchpad. Its a headache, wont allow you to use your touchpad.
2. Little bit on heavier side. Not a easily to handle kind of laptop.
3. Reflective/shiny monitor screen which may be distracting

Iam planning to get little high end laptop, could some tell whether lenovo y510 and y510p is same or different config, is it right time to get 4th gen i7 laptop or go with 3rd gen i7 laptop?

Go to the icons which are there next to the system clock,.
There is an icon called lenovo battery management(dont remember the exact name).
In that there is an option to do your battery calibration. If you run that, your laptop will be screwed!!!!!
Unknowingly i did that now i'm facing a very huge problem; its too big to explain so check out the lenovo forums

But the laptop is amazing!!! Superb sound output and kick-ass display!!!!! and the red back-lit display is a killer!!!!

The price mentioned here is a bit too steep.
The model is a Y510p and it comes with a gtx755m not a 750m.
The performance is quite good for this price range,u wont regret of getting it instead of another!
Only suggestion is get a good cooling pad if u game to much as it heats up alott.

it does not have bluray optical disk drive .
HD screen is gud .
It has ULTRA BAY .
games lags when no power socket is connected .
when laptop close it luks big (17 inch) .
web cam is gud enough .
though it has so many features it is light weight .

I am looking to buy this laptop ie Lenovo Y510P from flipkart but lenovo's official website says that e commerce sites are not out authorised dealers and please beware of their warranty entitlement.
Lenovo at current is offering 1 year adp with free 3 yrs extended warrannty for free whereas flipkart is offering 1 year onsite warranty. So what is it with all this?
Is it safe to buy it from flipkart ?
P.S. i trust flipkart but too scared to invest Rs. 70000 blindly
