I purchased this product a month ago from Flipkart, got it before the promised time.. 4GB RAM was not adequate for the video editing.So I upgraded to 8 GB. There was a free memory slot.
Battery back up is only for 4 hrs with the WFi turned off and in power saving mode. Net surfing, it lasts 3.5 hrs. Video play back; it lasts only 2hrs. Happy with the build and speed. Why should Lenovo mention battery life as 8 hrs and lose its credibility?

Using since 3 years. Good product but performances very slow, not like i7. Not worth to price. Go for other best options

First of all. Thanks to flipkart for the on time delivery and proper packing.

The product has got all the features as needed for a performance laptop except the RAM. But that is not at all an issue as you can upgrade RAM up to 16GB with two slots available. The make is good. Has a nice keyboard. I also love the 5point track pad in it. I found it so easy to use. I also run AutoCAD 2007 and 3dsmax 2008 in this machine and it works fine. Some glitches when you are loading heavy 3ds files. But ...

NOTE:- This laptop performance really better after I put SSD in it and upgraded RAM to 12 GB as one slot was free. But I'm not complaining as the laptop is running strong even after 5yrs of buying.

As with the original build I will say there is nothing really great about it. Touchpad is damn worst then anything in the world.

Touch pad is really bad. You need to practise for a long time before you can right click. This teaches you the virtue of being patient.

This is still my first week with this laptop. Except for the ego of owning i7+ claimed 6 hour battery life I would hesitate from recommending the extra spend for this.
I was expecting better speed for i7 but get a speed same as i5 any gen and a battery life of 3 hours without any major apps loaded against claimed 6 hours.

An excellent buy.
This is a laptop with true quad core i7 processor. All other i7 laptops in this price range are dual core processors. Compare CPU benchmarks to understand the CPU power of this beast! That said, this power is not at all useful for an average user.

The thinkpad edge series has better build quality than almost all other laptops in this price range. Only Dell's vostro series has comparable build quality and that is more costlier.

I have ordered for a Lenovo thinkpad having the manufactured date of June, 2014. This is a 2.5 year old laptop and battery charging is showing 1% after 1 hour also.
