Good buy

This is the first time I bought any electronics from flipkart, though I have been buying books for a couple of years now. The drive arrived in good shape and hooking it up to my Lenovo X220 laptop was a breeze. Windows 7 identified and installed the DVD drive within seconds.

All in all, a good product at a good price.

The dvd writer is working just fine, I will recommend it to any one, the delivery was just one time by flipkart , very very commendable.. more than the price discount which I have got on flip kart, the real savings was the Money I would have spent driving and searching for the right place to buy dvd drive, I have saved more on petrol

Simple. Plays & Burns

While writing a review for a Plug-n-Play device, such as this Lenovo USB Portable DVD Burner, I am literally having a writer's block.

It is Plug-n-Play!

What else do we need to know about? Well, there are a few and I wish I could rationalise them a little bit, below:

* A longer cord
The drive uses two USB 2.0 ports, and the cable from the first plug to the second could use a little longer cord to reach the back of a tower or the other side of a laptop. It gets crowded when I got to plug it...

i bought this product as a replacement for my internal dvd drive which was spoilt. its been around a month and this device works just fine. reads all kinds of dvds without hitches.
it has two USB connectors and it is using both gives greater speed while reading and writing dvds however if you want your one usb slot free for some other connection, this device works just fine with one as well.
A good value for money product which wont give you many reasons to complain

I had to go for this product as both the laptops at home do not have any CD drive and these days all the text books have CDs with them.
I have tested the product, yet to write a DVD, little surprised to see that you need to connect both the USB ports to use it.
It was a good purchase and I was impressed with the delivery schedule by Flipkart.

However, I just don't get why one of the two USB has always to be short. Not just this, any CD/DVD Reader/Writer will have one USB which is way too short. =P
