Set during the 1930s, the couple eventually have a son of their own. Soon after, the assault of the Nazis during World World II lands the Jewish family in a concentration camp. Seeing that his son may be horrified if her were to learn the truth of the terrifying situation, Guido goes to great lengths to ensure that his son thinks that the family is competing to win an armored tank, the grand prize. Having won 4 Academy Awards, Life is Beautiful is a must-see.
