One of the best books that I have read in my life. It is a powerful book. It helps to understnd the Power of Truth. Generally, it takes years to understand a person completely. This book helps the reader to take a shortcut in understanding Mahatma Gandi and introduces the reader to the inner most thoughts and workings, in the mind of Mahatma Gandhi, with commanding respect and authenticity equally. For all of us, stuck in the dogma of the 21st century's "rational morality"(what a senseless term!) this book would be a revelation.
PS: Sometimes the author takes it too far in flattering Gandhi. Just ignore that part and carry on. I don't think it's abnormal for someone who has lived in that time and met him in person.

Louis Fischer has written a great biography on the life of Mahatma Gandhi. Very informative. Highly recommended

Written by an American Journalist, "Life of Mahatma Gandhi" brings to light the unknown facts on Gandhi. Richard Attenborugh took the film "GANDHI" based on this book. Tamil Writer S. Ramakrishnan says this is one of the best books on Gandhi.
