Does the job

Life of Pi is a tale of black magic and reality. The belief appears to be disguised in many forms. It narrates the life of a sixteen year old boy named Piscine, nicked named as Pi ,on a life boat floating on the surface of the Pacific ocean for about 277 days after a ship wreck which lead to the loss of his entire family.

One of The Best Books I have Ever Read

This is one of the best books I have ever read. The way the writer describes everything is great. He tells about his life in Pondicherry, the ship wreck and how he survived all of this. It is presented in a great way. I read the book after watching the movie which I absolutely loved. Ending has a great twist and it is left for reader's interpretation. You can believe any of the 2 stories which you think is better.

Good - as per expectation

The story and the take on religion is quite interesting. As is the whole setting of being stranded in the sea with a tiger. Book is better than the film!

Interesting tale

An overdose of fantasy for my taste. The book turns essay-like at various junctures because of its descriptive narrative. Yann Martel deserves admiration for flying marvelously on the wings of imagination. I'm curious to watch the movie and will do so shortly.
