For linear algebra it is almost bible

it is the best introductory book to linear algebra. MIT openware also has video lectures on the same topic. The real intuition for linear algebra lies within.. Yeah... :P Best features I liked are the column picture, new perspective to matrix multiplication, vector spaces, eigen vectors.

It was not the first time I studied Linear Algebra. But the way Gilbert Strang has presented the subject is Awesome and have definitely enhanced my view several times.
This book somehow builds one topic after another in a very coherent manner. The style of writing is also as if the Author is talking to the reader. Moreover the book is supported by the online lectures of Gilbert Strang that may be an aid to the readers.

This is a very good book. I wish, I had known about this book when I was doing engineering. The book has a lot of exercises. This is a very good book for self study too. The author also presents some ways to look at matrix operations that were not taught at our university.
The author also has his lectures online on youtube.

For all those students who want to have a firm grasp of linear algebra and explore all its dephs, this is an ideal book ... From the brilliant Gilbert Strang, this book promises to gie a complete understanding of Linear algebra in great detail, .................all those who want more competence in Linear algebra more han just for the sake of doing well in exams, just go for this...!!!

The book is really nice if you are not exposed to linear algebra before. It patiently takes the reader through each concepts. Good if you are not familiar with linear algebra. If you do have a mathematical background, I would suggest Carl D Meyer's Matrix Analysis.

To be realistic, we are talking about a book! It is just like a book is supposed to be. Delivered on time and very good condition, however if it is available to you at some physical store you may get decent discount. Go for it after checking it in local stores nearby.
