Lines Composed a Few Miles Above Tintern Abbey  (Paperback, William Wordsworth)

Wordsworth composed this poem after taking a walking tour of the Welsh Borders. It begins with a description of the countryside, as many of Wordsworth's poems do, and develops into a philosophical contemplation on beauty and the seductive power of memory. Lyrical Ballads, an anthology in which Wordsworth and Samuel Taylor Coleridge cooperated, first published the poem in 1798.
