Ultimate text on Linux Kernel Delvelopment

Such an ultimate text that guides you so effortlessly into the area of Kernel Development. Such flawless and such compelling text is indispensable for someone who wants to dive deeper into Linux Kernels. And such a great material has been written in just 400+ odd pages. This is awesome.

Good Kernel Concepts

I enjoyed reading every word in the book. The topics are well arranged and organised. The internals of kernel are well described. Any who wants to learn kernel internals can read and practice kernel internals.

People involved in platform team development in areas, will be helpful.

Good book to prepare for interviews.

excellent to begin kernel programming

I haven't yet gone through this book completely (still on chapter 7), but its a great experience. As far as I am concerned, I was looking for something like this which can introduce me gently into linux kernel architecture and design. I know that the kernel version covered by this book is lower one but nevertheless, some concepts never age. Its also a recommended to those who want to learn some tricks (used in the kernel) and can apply them in their own applications. Also go through any intro...

Good book for starting on kernel. If you already pro look for O Reiley one.

This is an exellent book for amateurs who looking to start learning Linux kernel. I recently started working on Androi keneld, this helped me understand what linux kernel is it all about.
The kernel in detail is very vast and complex. So it always make sense to get an overievew first of all the areas of kernel and then depending on your work/interest dive into one/others.

Its not a encyclopeida or bible for kernel.Don't buy with that expectation. Its a short guide or quick quide or starter...

It is very succinct, starts every chapter with a theme, why we need it?
And then goes on explaining why it was done that way. This is the kind of book you *SHOULD HAVE* had at your engineering college days, reading about operating systems.
The author has tremendous i...
