An Excellent Overview of Linux APIs - Practical and Short
I'm a web programmer by profession. I bought this book after completing "The Design of the UNIX Operating System" by Maurice Bach. That book set an excellent base for me on how the Unix system was envisioned and originally implemented. I learnt about how core OS system features were implemented, how they work (or worked) internallly, what their APIs are and where their limited. This was a good background introduction for me, but i was interested in harnessing the power of Linux more practical...
