Love @ Air Force is the story of Sushil Aswathi and Shabd Mishra. The narrator of the story is Sushil. He talks about his friend, Shabd, and his love for a girl they knew as kids.

      Summary of the Book

Sushil and Shabd were the best of friends in class eleven and twelve. Shabd had made Sushil realize the value of a true friend. Shabd was in love with a girl called Soumya Maharishi. However, he never found the courage to communicate his feelings with her because his father’s rank in the Air Force was lower than the rank that her father held. Soon, Sushil got recruited by the Air Force and left for training. Shabd joined AFMC, Pune with the intention of being the perfect match for Soumya. However, by the time he passed out, Soumya was already married to an Air Force Officer. Twenty years pass, and they are now in their late thirties. Sushil is married and has two children. Shabd is unmarried and is still hanging on to the memories of Soumya. Sushil and Shabd meet after all these years and have a lot to talk about. When Sushil learns that Shabd is still in love with Soumya, he is worried for him. Shabd uses his influence to somehow get Soumya’s husband transferred to Agra. In the meantime, he intends on confessing to Soumya about his love for her. Will she react in a way that he wants her to?

First of all I m not a big fan of romantic fiction, but as this is a novel based on an air force and as I myself come from an air force background, I couldn't resist. The characters are beautifully characterized and the intricate relationship between the air force officers and airmen as do the situations in air force have been beautifully portrayed. This love story is very different from others (i wont say how because it will act as a spoiler) and it was very refreshing to see that someone is...

This is the story of Sushil; a Sergent, and Shabd; a doctor holding a rank of Wing Commander, who had been classmates at school level, meet after a long gap of twen...
