Moon has not only fallen for her mother’s boyfriend, but also seems to be having a string of affairs online and offline. Also, she has gained popularity overnight and all her problems have increased.

    Summary of the Book

To Moon, the idea of being in love with just one person for eternity seems ridiculous. The teenager is the love child of a French diplomat and a leading TV news anchor. When her father leaves, her journalist mother takes care of her. When she turns nineteen, she begins an internship with an advertising agency. Here, she has an affair with a colleague, and when this ends, she is swept off her feet by her mother's boyfriend who is also the boss of the advertising firm she works in. Like this isn’t complicated enough, Moon gains overnight success with a modeling assignment. Will she be able to handle her fame and her complex love life? Will she be able to sort things out for herself and find out the true meaning of love?

Love is Vodka- A Shot Ain't Enough

What is love? This is the universal question as person from every religion, country, and caste and if we remember alien from PK then aliens, too must have faced this question in their lifetime at least once. Here we have one more addition and it’s Moon aka ‘Mon Ami’. A normal girl whom we would find buried in her gadgets, sipping coffee at Barista or CCD or flaunting the brands she possess. Moon, too at one juncture in novel seems of the same clique. As the novel begins, Moon is shown in a cl...

Not a great book - Yet not a money waste!

This is a book that carried progressive thinking with it. A single mother... A love child born out of a wedloack to a French father... A rebellious mother and a more rebellious daughter... Mother’s boyfriend and daughter having affair with one of mother’s boyfriends...

    Yes! You heard me right...

This is the theme of the book, a shocker I would say. The ideas in the book are those we would have read in Western books and watched in Western movies; but never here – Definitely not in India. Yet...

A shot is never enough :)

The day I started reading "Love Is Vodka" It made me glued to every page, and I kept on turning every page until I reach the end :) This novel gives the real definition of "Love" !
A must read :) The Protagonist Moon is a replica of every other teenager these days :) This story isn't a love story revolving around campus or school life and ending with "They lived Happy Ever After " Far , Far better than other writers :) Amit Shankar takes you to the journey of love, passion, family and th...

    Different take on love

Amit Shankar has done good job in describing feeling of teenage girl Moon, love child of senior editor Payal and French diplomat. Moon kept coming in and out of love and want to live life to fullest. Her world changes when she fell for her mom's BF and got modeling assignment. There is subtle comparison of love with vodka shots and that makes book interesting..
I have completed this book in just two sitting and felt happy with the fact tht finally Moon got her true calling !!

    something diffrent

I dont know what attracted me the word love or the word love with vodka. The story revolves around moon and her relationships and how she discovers what she really want in life. Its a genral phase dat every guy/gal experinces it in there teenage life and dat the author potrayed too well. You will sometimes love her for her innocence and hate her for her rudeness. No one can get complete of anything you always compare it with what you have and what you dont but at the end its all about what you wa...

    A shot wasn't enough

I took this book after a hectic day. The book stands unique with the cover itself. The cover is attractive and the title too. After reading so many college love stories this story was fresh and well written. The book starts with Author note where the author clearly explains about his point on love. He has explained his point on various stages of love and I agree with his point. The story revolves around a modern teenage girl, Moon, who is on an internship with one of the biggest Advertising C...

    Good one

I bought this book after reading the reviews. I expected a cassanova type of story.
I must say it didn't disappoint me.
Though the writing could have been better. But considering a amateur writer, i will say - definitely one time read.

Love is Vodka: A Shot Ain't Enough

The title fascinated me more, having interacted with the Author, Amit Shankar, and to read his bbm name as ' The Devil wears no make up'. Sure! he never did. And somewhere the book is a proof of it. LIV is a gripping story. It cheered me and held my breath till the last page ( BUT) the end came too fast. I could relate some parts of the story to my life. What zaps me is that a man can write about a woman's feelings so well. A romantic story for the young & the old, and who enjoy love. I look ...
