When Debojit a lower middle-class native of Assam Dibrugarh got selected to study engineering in Visakhapatnam, he came across with a girl named Ailufa. She falls in love with Debojit – a second year engineering student, staying just opposite to her home. Ailufa had a dream to become Doctor. After Debojit’s college graduation, he left Visakhapatnam in search of job in Vadodara but promises Ailufa that their love will always last even though they stay thousands of kilometers apart. Ailufa completes her intermediate college and appears for medical entrance exam, but unfortunately she does not qualify in the first attempt. She does not lose hope and thinks of giving it a second shot the next year. She joins a coaching institute in the city itself. The twist in the story happens with the entry of Siddharth, whom Ailufa meets in her medical coaching institute. Siddharth already knows that Ailufa is in a relationship with Debojit, but even then he proposes to Ailufa. The worm of love for Siddharth had started crawling inside the brain of Ailufa and she finally fly away to Siddharth and never met Debojit for five years. One day while returning from office Debojit experiences a severe pain in his chest and ends up getting admitted to a hospital with the help of his colleague. Many tests were performed on him and later the test report revealed that he was suffering from cancer. Ailufa comes to know that Debojit has been in hospital wishes to come and see Debojit. Though he refused Ailufa to come as they were not in a relationship anymore, but one day while Debojit was resting on his hospital bed, Ailufa calls him from near the door.
