The music of this release was composed by 4-time National Film Award-winner Vishal Bhardwaj who also received the Filmfare R.D. Burman Award for New Music Talent for his musical contributions to Maachis. The sublime voices of masterly singers such as 3-time National Film Award-winner Lata Mangeshkar, Hariharan, Sanjeev Abhyankar, K. K., Suresh Wadkar and Vinod Sehgal have been featured in these tracks. Also, all the lyrics were penned by Gulzar himself.

Bliss!

Maachis on vinyl! Just unbelievable. I had the audio cassette, then the CD. But the vinyl recording is simply out of this world. Balance is great and it picks up even the smallest bit of recorded sound...just listen to Paani Paani Re for the sound of water at the beginning. I guess PAN music had a great digital source to begin with; I am sure there was no spool or analog source for the soundtrack of Maachis. Chhor Aaye Hum is a great song on a grand scale...the stereo separation on vinyl does...

I ordered vinyl of "Maachis" it was really worth to mention that services given by Flipkart was fantabulous. the packing the mode of delivery was 5 star.
when i played that LP on my panasonic turn table I was thrilled as if i am in recording studio.

Vinyl resurgence in india

Thouh slowly, the vinyl format is making its place amongst audiophiles in India. This particular limited edition vinyl lp of Maachis is a treat to the ears. The dynamic range is satisfying and so is the channel separation. Its certainly a good stuff for all music lovers.
