Perfect companion for my kid

I bought this game to introduce Hindi to my son as he was not very keen on learning it in the beginning. Not only did he start learning the alphabet, but he also developed a liking for the language and does not run away from it any more. The solution for Matras was awesome and made it so easy for me to explain the concept of vowels in Hindi. I was also presently surprised by the rulebook. I usually skip the text, but I started reading it and reached the end before realizing - it was almost li...

Learn Hindi by Play

I got it for my 5 year old niece and she loves it. She has basic knowledge of Hindi grammar and with the help of this toy I was able to teach her more about alphabets and Matras than any book. I am a strong believer in learning by play and this toy is apt for this. The beautiful illustrations, the tiles, the pink and blue board all make it so attractive to the kids. The point play makes it a fun activity over which kids and adults can bond and learn Hindi too. :)

Aksharit: Good, but can be better!

I ordered Aksharit (Chotu) and played with my son who is 6+ He enjoyed playing the game and it is commendable that we finally have first board game in Hindi and other Indian languages, thanks to the MadRat team. Thanks guys / girls!
Quality of the printing of akshar (i.e.alphabet) on the plastic cube needs to be improved significantly. Also in the chotu version of Aksharit, players are only expected to match akshars with words which are already created on the board, which is really restrictiv...

Good game but poor quality parts

As mentioned by others, the game is very nice and kids get hooked on to it easily. However, the quality of the parts given can be much better for the price. The tiles have rough edges that can easily give a scratch. The print quality on the tiles is quite poor. It goes off just by scratching with the nails! Even locally made scrabble-equivalents have better quality tiles. Disappointed with the engineering of the product.
