From the description you already know that it's a book within a book, a whodunit within a whodunit. While the first half is quite engaging, the second part is bit of a drag and takes too long to unravel which is why I've deducted a star. Classy mystery set in a cozy backdrop and lovely prose. This book took me by surprise. It kept me hooked till the end and kept me asking for more. I love slow paced beautifully written novels which ignites a slow burn and this one provided me just that.
