clean and neat explanation . Translation is much better and easy to understand to everyone. Don't hesitate to buy it. The story value is one billion times the money what we pay to this book.

For me ,I got a very good quality paper inside the book..But my friends who ordered got low quality but content wise good book..

I like this book. The author C. Rajagopalachari is a great author. His way of describing the epic is great. The book is small in size, but paper and print quality is good.

The book by CR is a classic I purchased it for my daughter so that she can know Mahabharat in the form of short stories as written by C R . Very good for giving childeren a glimpse of the mythological epic.

I just loved reading this one. Kudos to C. Rajagopalachari for his inimitable style of simplicity in writing. Could be enjoyed equally by children as well as elders.

I read this book when I was 11 years old and I totally loved it. Rajaji portrays the complexity of the characters very simply. It has a lot of information you do not generally find elsewhere, in other 'Mahabharata' books.I'm looking forward to read his 'Ramayana' as well.

This is a perfect book for all of them who ever missed the teleseries in Doordarshan on the Sunday morning. Jokes Apart !!! Its very well written book which i came across when i was seventeen years old. The book is so well written that it still lingers in my mind...

P.S. I also entered a contest for a state level Mahabharata exam back then in 2005 and bagged a Silver medal for scoring the highest form the district i represented.

As a Kid I have heard stories of Mahabharat from my mom and also I have read the book partially in local language. So I know what am going to say.

Pros:
The book is short and can hold your interest.
Good if you are reading Mahabharat for first time. Will help you in getting the zest of the story.

Cons:
Many important facts are eliminated .
Many stories are half told. (So basically its not lying, but hiding the truth)
