Sri Krishna is rasaraja, the personified form of the mellow of loving exchanges. Srimati Radharani is the personification of bhava, or loving emotions towards Lord Krishna. She is thus called mahabhavamayi, Sri Radha Thakurani, for She consists purely of the highest degree of love for Lord Krishna. Bhava means bhakti, loving devotional service. The entirety of bhakti, found in both the spiritual and material worlds, emanates from Srimati Radharani alone. The feelings of love for Krishna found in the hearts of the practicing devotees, in the goddesses of fortune and in the gopis of Vrindavan, are nothing but a fragment of Radhika’s love.
