Major Ram Prasad Sharma (Shah Rukh Khan) yearns to see the ambitious project Mission Milap become a reality. But some forces will not stop at anything to make sure the mission doesn’t succeed. One of them is Raghavan (Sunil Shetty) who will do anything to prevent the strategic move. For this reason he targets General Amarjeet Bakshi’s daughter Sanjana (Amrita Rao) whose life is in danger. To protect Sanjana, Ram goes to her college as a student. Raghavan manages to kidnap Sanjana and holds a large number of students and staff members hostage. In return for their safety, he wants Ram to call off the mission. However Ram is one step ahead to answer every move made by Raghavan.
