Great Book By a Great Director

This book is like an autobiographical rendition of his love for his art, "Making Movies". He has gone down to the minutest of the details that goes on an average in making a film, because as he says, no decision is unimportant in making a movie. I could actually feel myself on the sets, or in the cutting room, or in the recording studio sitting on a small stool observing Sidney. A great read for Cinema followers.

    Brilliant read

If you are an aspiring filmmaker this books provides an amazing insight into how a master works. From camera angles to acting -- he covers a lot of ground. But this isn't an how-to book.

If you are a film enthusiast, this book may well change the way you watch and judge films. Every element in a scene - from lighting to colour scheme to camera angle to costumes, etc - is a deliberate act of the director. Armed with such insight you will be able to appreciate films in a much more detailed ma...
