Professor L. Sharma (M.A. in Psychology and Philosophy, Ph.D.) taught Psychology and Philosophy at Rajasthan University for 36 years. He retired from the position of Chairman of the Philosophy Department in 1999. Dr. Sharma has authored 14 books and approximately 70 articles on various subjects such as philosophy, psychology, education, and gerontology. His works have been published in Indian and foreign magazines. He has also participated in and presented research papers at international seminars held in countries like America, Canada (Toronto and Montreal), Paris, and South Korea. Dr. Sharma established the 'Indian Gerontological Association' in 1969 and the 'Philosophical Counseling and Spiritual Healing Society' in 2000. Additionally, Sanskar Bharti Post Graduate College, Bagru, Jaipur was established in 2003 due to his efforts, and many educational institutions under the Sanskar Bharti Education Committee have flourished under his guidance. For several years, he has been continuously editing and publishing research magazines such as the 'Indian Journal of Gerontology' and 'Atma Vimarsh'. He is also a member of the editorial board of several foreign magazines. The presented book is likely the first work written in Hindi on the subject of 'Philosophical Enlightenment' (counseling), serving as an introduction to the subject for those interested in becoming philosophical enlighteners.
