Author Info
Pranabananda Das is a journalist by profession and a sports enthusiast by passion. In 1993, he started his writing career in Silchar, a town in southern Assam. He then worked as a correspondent for Dainik Jugasankha daily in 1995. After that Das made journalism as his full-time occupation. He has three decades of reporting experience wherein he has travelled from hills to valleys to break news. One such highlight was interviewing the top brass of banned militant group ULFA in the dense forests of Bhutan on behalf a leading international media outlet. He has written numerous post-eds, columns and special stories for a number of dailies. Apart from journalism, Das is actively associated with sports as a patron and administrator. Currently, he is the Executive Editor of a Bengali Daily “Bartalipi” from Silchar, Assam, India.
This is his second book after ‘Kumbha Collage’ which is a travelogue on Kumbha Mela.
