Pretty good
This book summarises everything that there is in the field manufacturing engg. Also helpful for preparing any competitive examinations. The explanations for each part and segment is thorough. Even though explanation for few parts are skipped its still a best guide and a best buy.

Good book for GATE
This book good for students preparing for Gate only. But for IES i would suggest you to try some foreign authors. Content is less with some mistakes. Less details and practical examples but the authors have covered almost everything important for GATE.

Precise book of manufacturing
Nicely explained Mechanical Manufacturing. Excellent exposure in Non-Traditional Part. Point wise written hence easy to remember. Printing quality and diagram quality excellent. Nicely explained processes with merits and limitation which is important for exam. Brief writing, hence takes less time to read and revise.
