The perfect book to crack the USMLE Step 3 Examinations, Master The Boards USMLE Step 3 contains a systematic approach to mastering all the theories required in the examination.
Summary Of The Book
The USMLE or the United States Medical Licensing Examination is required to be passed for practicing medicine in the United States. The examination consists of 3 Steps. The Step 3 examination is the final examination of the USMLE, which assesses whether the candidate can apply his or her knowledge of medical theory and concepts in different situations and on different types of patients in an unsupervised environment.
The test not only assesses an exhaustive knowledge of medicine, but also tests if candidates can work with patients with different case histories and the patient management skills of the candidate. The test is a 16 hour exam held over two days. The first day consists of 336 multiple choice questions. In the second day of the test, candidates have to complete 144 multiple choice questions and 12 clinical case simulation exercises.
Master The Boards USMLE Step 3 contains all the information, in a way which is easy to understand and remember, that is required to ace Step 3 of the USMLE. The book contains information on all diseases in a format that is useful for preparation for the USMLE.
Each symptom is followed by the most probable diagnosis, the best initial tests to run, the most precise diagnostic test and a systematic approach to diagnosis and management of the patient. Steps to follow for Clinical Case Simulation Exercises and symptoms that may change the patient management procedure, make this book particularly useful. The book also teaches the readers in assessing the severity of a disease, and the course of action. The book has eleven sections, and covers topics like Internal Medicine, Surgery, Radiology, Dermatology, Psychiatry, and Preventive Medicine.
Master The Boards USMLE Step 3 also has diagnostic charts and images in color and a question bank which is linked to the relevant section in the book.
