Prof. SS Kale is a distinguished neurosurgeon with over three decades of service at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. Having completed his neurosurgical residency training at AIIMS, he has been a dedicated faculty member at this premier institute. He currently serves as the Head of the Department of Neurosurgery and Gamma Knife. Under his leadership, Gamma Knife procedures have tripled to over 1,000 annually. His pioneering research on developmental CV junction anomalies has established the world’s largest patient series (nearly 800 cases), offering groundbreaking insights into their management. Prof. Deepak Agrawal is currently a Professor of Neurosurgery and Gamma-Knife at AIIMS, New Delhi. He is the co-inventor of a ventilator and holds seven patents to his credit. He has done more than 1000 GK procedures and introduced several innovations in the GK unit at AIIMS. He has also won several national and international awards for his research, including the ‘Young Neurosurgeon of the Year’ award by the American Congress of Neurosurgeons (CNS). With over 300 indexed publications, he is also the editor of the Journal of Peripheral Nerve Surgery (JPNS) and Indian Journal of Neurotrauma (IJNT), where he contributed to improving their impact factor. Under his leadership, Gamma Knife procedures have tripled to over 1,000 annually. His pioneering research on developmental CV junction anomalies has established the world’s largest patient series (nearly 800 cases), offering groundbreaking insights into their management.
