About The Authors

Ken Riley is a Physics lecturer at the Cavendish Laboratory, Department of Physics, University of Cambridge.

His other books include Essential Mathematical Methods for the Physical Sciences, Student Solution Manual for Essential Mathematical Methods, and Foundation Mathematics for the Physical Sciences.

Riley’s fields of research include experimental elementary particle physics and nuclear physics. He has been a part of many committees involved in the teaching and examining of Mathematics and Physics. He has over 40 years of teaching experience.

A researcher at the Cavendish Laboratory, Mike Hobson is the Director of Studies in Natural Sciences, and is also a member of the Admissions Committee at Trinity Hall.
