Synopsis and Features

It’s been 2 years since Max Payne’s life was shattered beyond recognition. Every important person in Payne’s life is now a memory and now a familiar evil from the past is back to haunt him. Stepping into his new role as a NYPD detective, Payne must now track the demons that are hell bent on destroying his life once and for all. Teaming up with Mona Sax, you, playing as Max Payne, will scour the mean streets of New York to hunt down the wanted fugitives.

Developed by Remedy Entertainment and published by Rockstar Games, Max Payne 2 speaks about a story that is very personal to the NYPD Detective Max Payne. The minimum system requirements essential to play the game smoothly on your computer are Windows 98, a 1 Ghz Pentium III or AMD Athlon equivalent processor, 1.5 GB hard disk space, 256 MB of RAM and a 32 MB RAM equipped NVidia or ATI Radeon AGP graphics card.

The single-player campaign in the game has levels built in such a way that completing each one will reveal a part of a story. The special abilities which made its predecessor famous also feature in this game. Shooting enemies is now easier with an elongated Bullet Time – an ability that slows down time. But things have been tweaked in this game and now you have to time your shots exactly right to kill your enemies in one shot.

Many new weapons make an appearance in Max Payne 2. These include an MP5, two machine guns and three assault rifles including an AK-47. You can also wield dual Desert Eagles to terrorize your enemies. During missions you will be allowed to play as Mona Sax. These missions add variety to the gameplay, making the game more integrating to play.

The game offers immense replay value as 2 more modes get unlocked when you finish the game for the first time. The modes are named as New York Minute and Dead Man Walking. You can gang up on enemies and make then run for cover by wielding a secondary weapon such as a Molotov Cocktail.
