Have selected question but focused more on concept development,every question is different.
Theory part is precise,only relevant and important thins is provided,best for those who are revising for GATE.
Point to remember is good.
Theory part is not for those who are reading it first time.
But far better than GK publication books as these books have too much rubbish content and questions.
Better than arihant as arihant has lots of error.
This books is not for RATTA guyz as everything is precis...

The book has been smartly written to exactly what is being asked in GATE exam..I do agree with majority of comments written in here. This edition carries
1. More no of GATE questions added
2. More points to remember and highend questions added in SOM, TOM, Vibrations, Thermo...
3. Manufacturing is the best part, no other book has covered important formulae and practice questions like this.

TMH book on GATE Mechanical is really beneficial for GATE students. Book has touched most of the important topics in depth and there is no match to it. Topics like SOM,TOM, Thermo have good level of questions. Most of the topics are normally what are being asked in GATE as well as PSUS. Kindly go through "Points to Remember" of book for last minute brush up. Thanks to flipkart for timely delivery and a good price.

actually i brought the book because of the name vikas slariya.. book isnt too good as it says.. it doesnt even cover all the formulas.. i started hmt and found that they have left the topic internal heat generation completely.. yet to explore more faults :D btw the way of approach to questions is pretty good

Totally error free book. I purchased this book from flipkart and has certainly come to my expectations from McGRAW HILL. Book is good as per following viewpoints :-

1) Only book in the market which is totally error free.

2) Writer by a GATE mentor, mentoring students for last 20 years.

3) Level of questions are good and increases gradually. Good for average as well as brilliant students.

4)Theory, questions and target questions are exact replica of what is being asked in GATE exam.

I have gone through some part of book I am quiet disappointed with it.
The book just contains formula especially in SOM, TOM section very less amount of theory which you require to understand the concepts & formulas written.

Section 2 is good enough it is good on that part .

Cant depend entirely on this book.

1. i've gone thru this book thoroughly. attended SAIL Exam this time n am sure will crack it.
2. This book has proper contents and required MCQ questions, if you study it.....u can be confident to clear a PSU level exam.
3. Hats off to Flipkart Delivery.

i got to know about the book in one popular website . at first i was skeptical about the quality of the book since there are other good books in the market such as GK publishers . but after i bought the book it turned out to be completely reverse . the book is of excellent quality with numerous examples and problems to practice . but one thing you should remember is dont trust on this book too much . use this book to get a idea about the type of questions and do follow the standard author boo...

content in the book is similar to the previous edition the only change made in the book is that new Question has been added.The best part of the book is the points to remember ..... its most helpful......... I am not satisfied with mathematical section its not full explained an few topic are missing .
