About The Album
The name "Ghalib" is a whole world in itself, which encompasses love, separation, pain, belongingness, anxiety and happiness. The name "Ghalib" is a source of inspiration for some and a song for many.

Mirza Ghalib is considered to be the epitome of Urdu shayari who revolutionised the form of Ghazal. This album is a collection of some of his masterpieces that have been sung repeatedly but never recited. It's the first time a tribute has been paid to the legend through recitation of his poetry by two contemporary poets, Guhar Parvez and SM Shariq, taking us back to the golden era.

Ghalib kisi parichay ke mohtaaj nahi. Wo aise shaayar thhe jinhe unki shayari ke liye sadiyon tak yaad kiya jaayega. Unhone ghazal ko ek naya mukaam diya. Jo ghazal husno-ishq mein lipti rehti thi, usey zindagi ki haqiqaton se bhigo diya. Ghalib ne apne niji jeevan mein jitni mushkilon ka saamna kiya, unhe mushairon mein bekhoobi suna diya. Ghalib urdu shaayari ke ustaad thhe aur unka sthaan aaj Kalidas, Tagore aur kai mahaan kaviyon ke beech gina jaata hai.
