    first opinion

Has ignored the contributions of Indian mathematicians, highlighting only their much later European counterparts. But an interesting book, as we will come to know about the history of mathematics and the story of mathematicians who have contributed to it.

Brilliantly written book and awesome service by flpkart

I ordered the book on September 1st and received on 2nd without the one day delivery offer. I must say I'm really impressed. Moreover I got flipkart student discount of 500 above a purchase of 750 and this book actually costed me Rs.150.

Now getting to the book, very well written account of mathematicians since 300 BC starting from Zeno, Pythagoras et al. I haven't completed it but enjoying it right now. Must buy for people who have even slight interest in mathematics. Not much insight of m...

Later discovered that this book have errors

It was looking good book to me initially but later I read over the internet that few claims in the book are just fake. Reader can have it for overall idea but authenticity is questionable as there are not endnotes or referencing in the book.
