Kavita Kane outdid herself!! Having read her book Karna's wife, I had huge expectations from this one. And I was not disappointed. I loved the book to bits..actually thinking of reading it once again!

I've read and loved all the books that Kavita Kane has written until now. She has a flair for bringing the myths to life right before you. While this book is an engaging read, the language leaves a lot to be desired. Yes, it depicts the feared sage Vishwamitra in such a way as to make him human and easy to connect with. Menaka's Choice by Kavita Kane is yet another excellent narrative by the author where in one is beautifully drawn into the storyline and closer to Vishwamitra who one realises is more crafted out of choice of Menaka than his will to be the Bramarishi .The smaller nuances of highlighting that its compassion and empathy that drives Urvashi to right her wrong actions despite knowing well that she stands to lose all that she loved .Excellent ethos and narrative by the author without doubt .

Mythology never bores the readers who loves it. Whenever we hear stories of these tales, we will relish the scenes as our childhood is filled with these tales from the past.
Kavita Kane's 3rd book Menaka's Choice is one such book which has brought a character to life through her book , who has a little space in the mythological tales.

Menaka's Choice, is not everybody's cup of coffee. You can neither hate the book nor love the book. I think Kavita Kane's narration is good but not as good as she did in Karna's Wife and Sita's Sister. As the story of the book is so limited in content her narration falls along. However you can find the different content and best vocabularies in this book. This book gives answers to your questions of 'About Few Rishis, Sages and characters' which you have read in her previous work and left out...
