The word "ADVANCED" should have been added to the title..!!!
This is to be taken up after completing a basic economic theory book like the one written by G.Mankiw and the Intermediate Microeconomics by hal varian himself. One should not buy this book before completing the basics and intermediate courses in economics since this book is intended for those people who are equipped with the calculus and mathematics approaches in economics. For advanced learners this is really a best book... Lots of problems behind every chapter unlike the intermediate micro...

Its a great book. I have just finished ist chapter. And the way it has been written is easy to understand and much more interesting..for a beginner its really a must. Andpeculiar thing about he book is that it does nt strt with definition of economics . The writer thinks out of the box. Well, i enjoying reading it.

grt book to understand the mathematics for microeconomics but if you want to understand this book you need to read all the primary books like kutsyoanisk (ignore the spelling) intermediate microeconomics from hal varian, harderson and quandt, etc...

Far from perfect
This is supposed to be intermediate/advanced level. It seems the author's trying too hard to make it seem like a graduate level book. Rather than elucidating the important concepts and theoretical results, the author's chosen to skip a lot of it. I understand that those reading this are supposed to have basic conceptual knowledge about micro, but it is rather cryptic and wastes too much of the reader's time in trying to figure out certain results (which you do manage to do, albeit with diffic...
