I have gone through several texts on electronics such as Boylestad,Malvino, Milman Halkias and some of the Indian authors' as well but I found this as more explanatory and concept building.The numerical examples are so designed to test your acquired knowledge on the topic that you can benchmark your extent of concepts understood.Equally good is the chapter end questions.

It is the best book of Electronics Devices & Circuits.The matter given is so much comprehensive and at the same time consolidated and the best thing about it is that it'll never let you become off track of concepts.It is a advice that don't go after Millman-Halkias before having this book in your mind.

if some one wants a good concept in electronics then this the best book..it will clear the view & circuit operation to a student. but if some wants only to gain marks then it will not suit him/her.

Undoubtedly it's a great book in the field of electronics. But I suggest before going to reed the book you should have basic idea about electronics devices (like diode, transistor, amplifier and so on) because it starts from upper level. I am telling about myself, I used to read boylested for the subject "Analog Electronics" an keep it as a reference book. Once you build the basic understanding then go for it. I'm only on chapter 1 but I really do feel this is one really good book. I have several reasons.

1. The authors give an high level description of electronic circuits in Chapter 1 itself. It builds a lot of intuition on Amplifiers right at the beginning. I would guess that the remaining chapters, fill in the gaps and get into the details.

2. There are Practice Problems embedded within each Chapter. I love textbooks which follow this format (Hayt & Sadiku do this in their books on electromagn...

I'm a physics student (not an electrical engineer). It is the easiest book in the subject I've seen so far. Of course, I suggest reading basic solid state-electronics part from other books like Simon M. Sze. But when you are done with that, this book takes you through all (not necessarily complete coverage of every topic but the basic idea is presented with utmost clarity) required practical applications. I believe there are enough examples and lots of problems left for the reader.

If you want to learn analog then there is no better and other choice than this book......
Very well revised by the author........but you need patience to read the book and to make yourself comfortable with the book.......
