Just a big screen

it just has a big screen nothing else internal memory is low also the ram is low i recommend all the guys not to buy else go foe ninja A89 or Smarty 4.0 which will give you value for your money the internal memory in both the above mentioned phones is very good which will help you play videos and apps smoothly if you want a big screen you are in a wrong budget, 10k - 16k is the perfect price range for big screen, good internal memory, nice ram and other stuff.

Canvas Crap

i own both A110 and A116 from MMX and this is the first time seeing a crap product from MMX.

Look at the RAM, it is 256MB. No idea how Andriod itself will smoothly run in this phone. Forget about playing games in this as well. The only good thing about the phone is big screen and battery life.

The phone is quite overpriced. MMX thinks to take advantage of their Canvas name strategy to earn quick buck. I thing those who are consider other options

1. MMX Ninja A89

Pros: Dual core processor...

phone is meant for normal use not gaming!!

The way i see it
large screen - easy to use
Android 2.3 @1Ghz - fast phone
low ram - not for gaming
bigger battery - longer life
handful of apps can be installed at any given point (whatsapp, m-indicator, led torch, etc ) - just basic necessary apps (hence not for meant gaming)

Seems like a phone for people who want easy to use cell, have few requirements and longer battery life.

At this price if anyone expects a gaming phone on android 2.3 with 256Mb ram you are nuts!! get a proper gaming...

Not a smartphone... its a phablet

Good budget phone from micromax...

Positivies are best battery stand i've ever seen in smartphones, super speed, 1ghz processor, compatible with most of the apps, 32GB expandable memory...

Negatives are very low internal memory, very big size of 5 inches, not a latest os version, low RAM of only 256MB...

Buy this mobile only those who want very big phone, long battery stand & super speed under 7K...

Targeting two segment

Exactly this phone is targeting two segment - phone & tablet, its a kind of fablet.

with the canvas name we also can call it dual sim 5" tablet. which yet to be launched from the side of micromax. customers are waiting for dual sim tablet from the side of micromax.

other side specifications are below average like RAM 256MB and OS Android 2.3 as which are leaving the market slowly.

price is competitive so we can assume company wants to absorb the popularity of Canvas-2.

finally 1Ghz and...

Use ur brain before buying...!!

with only 110MB internal memory for apps, what applications will the users be able to install..!!
with few apps like watsapp, facebook, 1 or 2 game (temple run) it will get exhausted.

i agree, its good phone bundled but with LACK OF INTERNAL MEMORY, its users wont able to utilize its 1GHz CUP much nor the Android Market for apps

Old Phone

For all those who are raging about the specs and all, this people is Canvas 1, which was supposed to release BEFORE Canvas 2. But due to Ericson's patent issue this one was never released. so MMX decided to hide their unreleased version along with their greatest hit, Canvas HD. so chill down, buy some other phone.

This phone is so bad, it makes other bad phones seem not so bad.
WP7.5 runs fine with 256MB RAM but Gingerbread? Minimum would be 512MB for any android version.
And talking about gingerbread, it is such an old version of the OS. They should have at least used ICS.
Only good points of the phone are big screen and the battery.
