I was planning to buy this tablet but i heard from my friends about the new funbook with call facility.If this is true then it will be good if it has a gps and a decent processors similar to funbook alpha. It should also have a SIM card slot with at least a 2G surfing. People are tired of using an external device.

Hi All,

Got the tablet yesterday from Flipkart, so first charged the funbook for 6 hours.
My initial impressions are ..
The camera looks good (almost egual to 1.3 MP)
the audio quality is ok for the price.
Didnt face any lag till now.
The first 10-15 mins of usage took me 5 % of battery .So using maths , it comes to around 3 - 3nd half hours of battery life.
Will give 4 stars as there are areas of improvement.

It is Better tablet for the price..

Good tab, looking at the price, it is amazing product even if you compare it with best in the market
Latest software, capacitive screen, light weight, wifi, USB dongle 3g, SD card slot, HDMI port.
It lacks Bluetooth, gps

Got this tab from Flipkart. Bit disappointed with the display panel, but again I am not paying a fortune for it. Apart from that everything else spot on. Can play high profile MKV and MP4. Angry Birds is fun. Any 3G dongle can be used but need to select "TATA DOCOMO" from network list. External pen drives less than 32 GB works fine. All in all it is worth every buck you spent.

Hi I just received the tablet from flipkart. One of my first doubt was that it works with only tata photon but no I am using the reliance data card and just by twiking the username and password in APN settings its done.
Remember the free photon coupan is not free. We have to pay addional 600 for dongle and activation. And you can only grt postpaid plan minimum of 249 per monthh

Have a fyn with funbook.

I bought this piece of electronic crap a few months ago with my hard earned money.
It simply goes off at 90% charge. Sometime when wi-fi is switch on it goes off.

The only way to start it again is to plug-in the charger. When it boot up it shows 90% charge.

When I bought, I didn't expect it to do good multitasking or fast performance. But I expect that this stays ON as long as there is battery charge..

Very poor product from Micromax. I would advice to never buy this product.

In short...

Charge for 4 hours

Can be used for 3 hours practically...

Again charge...

I purchased this at less than 10K. Although my expectation was not very high for this but it has done good job. I am using this for more than 10-11 months.
Good product at this price. Do not compare with the tablet with price tag of 25-30K.

Now about funbook p300.
This include pro and cons, classify yourself

It get hot even when used for few minutes.
In my device at 40% battery tab suddenty turn off, ie, 40%=0% battery
You can ovserve very long standby
Video playing is good.
Can't attech my micromax dongle
Touch is not smooth, sometime laging ovserved
Due to single processor , if running multiple apps, tab hangs.
Pdf are not opening smoothly.
Can't download torrent in standby m...

Pros:
Cheaper pricetag than other tablets.
ICS inbuilt.
Good Video Playback Quality.

Cons:
Poor screen.
Poor touch sensitivity. Some times does not recognize touches. Very much erroneous touch identification while the unit is charging.
Poor battery life. My tablet turns off without any low battery indication when battery is at 30%
AC adapter failed just in couple of months.

Overall, this is a good tablet for playing games, but has very limited practical use.

I will NOT suggest it for serio...
