pro: good camera, good display, good response

con : speaker volume is very low and not clear during phone calls.

This is a good budget phone, but the snapdragon 200 chipset lets down in some places, I had issues playing one of my 1080p videos, but it did play the other fine.
As such I feel it should fit most of the normal usage purposes, but If you can get hold of a lumia 640 then go for that.
folks waiting for lumia 550, can as well go for this, as I feel this phone is better specs wise atleast in terms of camera.

its a nice affordable mid range smart phone.nice display,easy to hold.audio and video quality quite good.camera is awesome.overall its a nice phone.

This phone is best phone for small budget with best in class selfi and screen. Eyes will not get strain by using screen for long hours. Those who love big screen, this is the best phone for them. Original product from flipkart. But if you can spend 12000 go for lumia 730. 730 is better than 640 as 730 as better processing power than 640

its a good product at good price but price relatively higher in comparison to other websites ... But a very good phone below 10K

I wanted to move out of Android so my frd suggested Microsoft. I read the reviews on Lumia 540 and bought it thru Flipkart
Pros:
1) Touchscreen is awesome
2) Camera (both front and main) are pretty good. Front one is 5 megapixels..
3) Battery life is better compared to android.
4) Frequently used apps are available in the Microsoft store


Cons:
1) Mobile gets hot soon when you use mobile data

If you are looking for a Windows phone for a decent price, then go for it. Following are my views after using for about 2 weeks.
1. Battery lasts more than a day with continuous 3G/Wi-Fi ON, 1-1.5 hrs of talk time and about 2 hrs of listing to music.
2. Touch sensitivity is good.
3. Takes about 2.5 hrs to fully charge.
4. If you are used to LED notifications on phone, you will not find it here.

Highly recommended for the one who wants entry level windows phone.

I found the sound quality a bit low than expected..
Clicks beautiful selfies with the front camera.
Back camera is just ok.
Flipkart delivery was faster than the expected date!!
