At the dawn of the jet age the B-707 was among themost advanced aircraft of the era. Commercial 707 aircraft types were bought by the United States Airforce and used for priority transport of high-value material and VIP transportation. Later versions of these colorful aircraft were operated by the First Airlift Squadron of the 89th AirWing, Andrews Air Force Base. The Minicraft VC-137 represents one of the last of its kind assigned to the Air Mobility Command.
