Author Info | - Dr SS Bhatti has the rare distinction of being the only architect in the country to have served as the official Art Critic of The Tribune, a leading English newspaper in north-western India. During his 20-year-long tenure (1977-1997), he published over 400 reviews of art exhibitions at district, state, regional, national, and international levels, notably, one on the sculptures of 20th-century’s greatest sculptor, Henry Moore, and the mega-size watercolour paintings of Chinese masters. Belonging to a family of Punjabi artists, artisans, craftsmen, and architects, he inherited his passion for all forms of art—and assiduously honed his talent throughout his life developing four interrelated areas responsible for the creation of knowledge: Theory, Practice, Research, and Pedagogy.
