THE AUTHOR IS A VERY WELL ESTABLISHED AND PROMINENT POET in the Punjabi language. His poetry is the soul of the soil of Punjab and it presents the different colours of life. He is also a born singer and sports person. His poetry has also been published in the famous literary paper- NAGMANI which was edited by famous poetess Amrita Pritam. Some of the author’s famous books include – MITTI KARE SAMWAD, CHITAR LEELAH, KAAL DRISH and was associate editor for the literary paper – ADAB LOK, ARTH & SAMKAAL. He is also a TV & Radio Artist. The play – DASTAK telecast by DD- Jalandhar was written by him and he has also performed in National Festivals of India organised by North Zone cultural Centre, Punjab. He has also acted in Telefilm – Lok Rang Di Gaatha directed by Pran Sabharwal. He has been awarded for his literary & artistic achievements by various clubs & Organisations. Some of the prestigious awards include : YUVA PRATIBHA awards from Literary Forum , Mansa, SHAKIR PURUSHARTHI award from Sahit Sabha Lilan, Ludhiana, KALA SHREE award from Mehak Di Sath Cultural Society, Patiala, Award for ART & Culture from PSEB Lekhak Sabha Patiala. Award of Direction from Baba Ala Singh Club, Patiala. Sant Ram Udasi Award -2007 & Padam Nath Shashti Shromani Award 2018. Avtarjeet is a dedicated and committed for Punjabi Culture, Punjabi Language and Punjabi Literature.
