This region is so historic, a crossing point of sorts for different civilizations and one gets the feeling will continue to play a large role in humanity for generations to come.

Brought tears to my eyes....... More than once. This is by far the most poetic and emotionally moving book I have ever read. Only those who have experienced war can put such words on paper, Susan Abulhawa is one of those People. I advise all to buy this book.
