Motorola Xoom

About the Order : I got the Xoom within 4 days of placing the order at Xoom. To make things clear, the packet consists of the tablet, Chargers and a USB cable. It DOES NOT contain either the Portfolio Case or the Headphones. ( The 'In the Box' feature in Flipkart is a bit hazy )

About the Tablet : The tablet thought almost a year old, compares to the recently launched tablets in both form, functionality and factor ; especially so after the recent price cut to 23 k.

Just got the wifi 3g version for the best deal ever. I love this tab to the entirity, its it slightly fatter than the galaxy range kf devices and slightly heavier than an iPad, but then this packs more punch as well. Came with an honeycomb 3.0.1 for which I immediately got an over the air update to 3.2. Overall it isn't bulky and a 150 more grams doesn't feel like much in the hands. What is best about it is the aspect that this his a google experience device which means it will get much quick...

Good News : Xoom will receive the official ice-cream sandwich update making it compelling buy for such a low price (Motorola has almost cut 11,000 rupees on the price in past few months)

Review:

Display : The screen size and resolution are higher than iPad 2. The screen is definitely comparable to iPad untill it gets retina display in next gen model. The tablet looks awkward in portrait mode and should be used in landscape mode.

Battery : One of the longest lasting in its class. Provides ...

Pros:
- Very good screen resolution quality [Seems to iPhone retina display]
- Very good touch screen response
- Very good cover quality included with device
- Device weight is not too much heavy
- Very good quality of device body
- Can use bluetooth mouse and keyboard after honeycomb 3.1 update
[Do not require to install extra apps for supporting bluetooth devices]

Cons:

- All ports [except headphone jack] are bottom side of the device.

I have been using Motorola Xoom since 12th Jan 2012 and i must admit it is a great value for money product. It has everything a good tablet needs. Good display, ease of use, great productivity on 3G network. Overall great product for its price. Great bargain.

Motorola Mobile is now a part of Google, So hoping for speedy fixes and updates.

"Tegra Zone" is a great app (need to download from Market) to see latest Tablet Optimized games.
Responsive Touch.
Amazing Sound.
Very Clear on Gtalk Audio/Video.
720p Video recording with rear cam is flawless.

GPRS also works on this 3G not needed. (Hapy 2G users can still stick to low budget plans)

This Tegra 2 Dual Core tablet is quite decent. What brilliantly amazing is the price drop , and mind you its a _Flipkart Exclusive_ only. For this price this is a steal. Its a 32GB wifi/3G model. Buy it while the offer lasts, because the Quad Core tablets will still take time to come to India that can beat the Apple iPad.
