MSME at THE CROSS-ROADS  (Paperback, JUGAL KISHORE BAID)

It may not startle anyone when one comes up with a highly critical evaluation of M.S.M.E in our country. The state of MSME in India is far from satisfactory. Who is responsible for this miserable condition of MSMs here needs to be thoroughly examined, and the whole issue deserves to be taken up for timely solution of the problem. It appears that the Government has failed to properly diagnose the malady which has by now enlarged itself into several dimensions. The policies laid down for the promotion of MSME have not been satisfactorily implemented, especially owing to several bottlenecks at the implementation level. It seems that these enterprises have been left to their own fate, unfortunately occupying a rear seat in the scheme of national economic planning in the country. No one can deny the fact that MSME are the backbone of our national economy.
