"Prof. Khalid Irfan was teaching Chemistry for 30 years, at Renukacharya College and at St. Joseph’s College in Bangalore. He was born in 1932 and passed away in 2005. He was a renowned Urdu scholar and had a remarkable fluency in both Urdu and English. He has contributed several literary articles In English and Urdu to various reputed journals and presented hundreds of radio talks, public Speeches and seminar papers besides being the announcer of the Urdu Programs for the All India Radio, Bangalore for some years. He has gained reputation as a children’s story writer as well having authored more than 50 stories, dramas and science articles to reputed Children’s magazines in Urdu like Khilona and Pyam-e -Taleem from 1950s to 1990s."
