    Fascinating Read

Jim Corbett's fascination for India can be well understood. In fact, as an Indian, I felt a fresh rush of emotions for my own nation after reading this book. NEVER seen it that way. How difficult and fragile was life in those precarious times particularly for poor hilly folks. An honest, intimate and sobering account of life that existed far beyond the safe and secure seats of civilisation.

Makes one a little emotional when he narrates many incidents of him helping the poor people with all he could. Made me realize that he was not only a hunter but a hard working man and a good leader w...
