Hemant Prasadrao Salve, also know as Babamama, was a witness to the tumultuous events that lead to the independence of the Indian nation in 1947. As the youngest brother of Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, he was well-positioned to write this affectionate and complete biography of his sister. H.P. Salve also managed the daily operation of P.K. Salve International Academy of Music, Dance and Drama in Nagpur.
