Born on 19th April 1974 in Valathungal, Iravipuram, Kollam. He was a journalist for a long time. Noted biographer. More than thirty books in various branches of prose. Major Awards: State Television Award for Katha, Kerala Sahitya Akademi Geeta Hiranyan Award, State Children's Literature Institute Award, Padmarajan Award, V.P. Shivakumar Keli Award, Edassery Award, Kumkumum Novel, Katha Awards, Aasan Prize, Abu Dhabi Shakti Awards for Story and Novel, Nooranad Hanif Memorial Award. He wrote and directed the film Ottakaiyan. Two State Awards in 2007 for this film. Jaycee Foundation Award for Best Debut Director for the same film. He wrote the screenplay for the film Chitariavar and the dialogue for the film Up and Down. The stories of Chennaya (Wolf), Amminippilla Vettukase (a southern Tallukase) and Shankhumukhi (Kappa) were made into films. Seven state TV awards for the adaptation of the novel 'Kaligandaki'. Central Sahitya Akademi Award for Tamil Translation for Taskaran Maniyanpilla.

Pretty good

It's same as in the movie. I could recommend movie than the book. But if you haven't seen the movie you could read this book. It's overall a good try

Wonderful

Don't expect any groundbreaking story that flips your world around as you read it.

'Naalanchu Cheruppakkar' deals with a very basic storyline that has been moulded into sheer perfection by the novelist, hooking you from the start till and finish.

Don't read it for the storyline, read it for the experience.
