Connector Support
RJ45 (8P8C): The universal standard for Ethernet cabling. Modern testers support Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, Cat7, and Cat8. High-end models feature shielded (STP) ports to verify ground continuity. RJ11 / RJ12 (6P4C/6P6C): Used for analog telephone lines and DSL connections. Most testers use a "universal" port that accepts both RJ45 and RJ11, though dedicated ports are common in the NOYAFA NF and Klein LAN Scout series.
